Pipken crept through the underbrush towards the guttering firelight. As he got closer, he heard grunts and smacks, but his curiosity wouldn't let him turn back. He peered through the thorny brambles and saw a massive lunk of a monster - an ogre, sitting on a stump, chewing on a haunch of unidentified meat. The ogre's fire was burning low, but Pipken could see well enough to notice a bulging purse on the ogre's belt. Again, the halfling's curiosity overcame his sense of danger.
